Bob Johnson has been performing and teaching in the Boston area for more than forty years. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he played in the orchestra for a great many local community theatrical productions, youth theater groups, and church and civic organization shows. He continues to play drums for summer creative arts program musical productions every year. He also plays for New England Band Productions, a marching band that performs throughout the New England area.
In the last twenty-five years, he has focused more on teaching, extending his instruction program to additional local music studios. He has entered students in a New England Music Competition, sponsored by one of these studios every year since 1991, with many of these students winning first, second and third in their categories. Bob has also coached one such student to placing first in a state championship category, as well as two students placing second in other state final competitions.
